The Indian Wind
Energy Association (InWEA) was set up in 2002 as a not-for-profit
organisation under the Societies Act. InWEA with more than 300 members
is dedicated to promotion and development of wind power in India.
Since its
inception InWEA has worked consistently towards removing barriers to
wind power development and creation of an enabling regulatory and
policy environment for investments in this sector.
The association is
also a member of several international and national industry bodies
such as the World Wind Energy Association, the European Wind Energy
Association, CII, FICCI and ASSOCHAM among others.
